Ready to find out what CrossFit at The Core is all about for yourself?

Q: How long have you been part of our Core fam?
A:
Since July of 2016.

Q: What do you do for a living and how has it changed this past year?
A:
I am an ICU nurse. COVID. There is so much to say. It’s busy. It’s ever changing. It’s sad, draining, and defeating, yet still rewarding. We cling to any victory.

Q: How has this past year affected your health and the health of your family...physically, mentally, and/or spiritually?
A:
I personally have put my own health on the back burner. My activity levels plummeted with the shutdown, and my calorie intake went up. Now my clothes don’t fit, but I’m working on that. Mentally I’m hanging on by a thread some days. I have begun counseling and I would recommend it to anyone. Apparently I’m not the basket case I thought I was, I’m just human. And I have definitely become more spiritual throughout this.

Q: How often do you workout at The Core and how do you manage it with your work schedule?
A:
I have started going to the 5am class. It’s the most convenient time for me. If it’s a work day I can get in a workout, a shower, and make it to work by 6:30 am. I try to go at least 3 times a week.

Q: What do you love the most about being a part of The Core?
A:
Any crossfitter will tell you, “The community”. These people are genuinely good humans. We are all perfectly imperfect and it’s ok to just be yourself.

Q: What is your favorite CrossFit movement/element?
A:
All. The. Weights. 😂😂 But probably deadlifts, cleans, box jumps, kettlebell swings... did you just want one...

Q: What is your least favorite CrossFit movement/element?
A:
Wall crawls.

Q: What is your CrossFit/health goal this year?
A:
I would like to do a comp this year.
